Why do I like finance?

Why do I like finance?  As a young student, I didn't really understand why people would want to study finance, and not psychology or other domains that are more related to our development as humans. It's only after my employment at AON that I understood the importance of finance, and it's metrics. Numbers speak, and are a great measure of value. By balancing numbers in a company book, we can understand what operations are worth continuing or discontinuing.  Financial professionals work with large amounts of data, including industry and economic forecasts in addition to the company's own accounting information. Finance staff members are heavily involved in the company's planning process, from annual budgeting to long-range strategic planning. Analysts find this to be among the most exciting aspects of the job – you are right there as the future of the company is mapped out. It is a fair tool to measure and forecast key areas

My Interest in Sports

My Interest in Sports                                                                - Jordi Yebouet      I started playing sports from a very young age. Sports somehow defined my identity as a child, and does so up until this day. Sports is something I can not live without.  There is something about watching and playing sports that thrills me.  Every minute of every day of my childhood I spent thinking about the practices or big match ups coming up, for the team I was in season for. I wouldn’t say playing football was my life passion, but playing football was defiantly an immense passion of mine and nothing could interrupt me from this.   Every day of my life from 14 to 18 I played football. We had a very sportive community of students in Dubai who always played sports, so that was also a determining factor.
